Traveling light

(2016)

The traditional weaving technique Rose Path is used in this series of two pieces called Traveling Light. Rose Path is a common weaving technique in Swedish hand woven textiles.

This is the new and upgraded version of the traditional Swedish textiles.

Traveling Light is hand woven on a traditional hand loom, with a combination of cotton, wool and optical fiber.

The light is animated and flows in waves across the textile. This gives the pieces a gradient both in the textile surface and in the colour of the light flowing through them.
